At Cardiff Community Preschool we are fortunate to have access to an abundance of natural surroundings. From the moment you walk through our front gate you are greeted with an established Jacaranda tree providing a colourful and vibrant entrance for our families and children during the months of spring.
Along our entrance you walk alongside established plants and a paved sloped path that leads you to a warm and welcoming timber deck that overlooks our tranquil, natural environment. Our entrance supports access for all children, with wide paths, smooth surfaces and wide doorways.
Our established Jacaranda tree provides a colourful and vibrant entrance in spring. Wide, accessible paths lead to a warm timber deck overlooking our tranquil natural environment.
Large gum trees provide cool shade in summer, and offer natural learning materials — bark for art, gum nuts for counting and sorting, and leaves for our bush kitchen.
Children experience the joy of home-grown food. Our mulberry tree and citrus trees teach seasonal cycles and healthy eating — often picked fresh for afternoon tea.
River stones of different shapes and sizes wrap around our sandpit. Children develop balance and coordination, and can explore our small fish pond with resident goldfish.
Our open-ended bush kitchen is where imagination comes alive. Children explore creativity using natural resources, water, sand and mud in an inclusive, welcoming space.
Wide paths, smooth surfaces and wide doorways ensure every child and family can participate fully in preschool life — reflecting our deep commitment to inclusion.
As part of Quality Area 3.2.3 Environmentally Responsible, we embed sustainability into our daily routine and practices. Children feed morning tea scraps to our animals, tend to our garden, and care for our living environment — developing a genuine respect for the natural world from an early age.
Our dedicated team of qualified early childhood educators are passionate about nurturing every child’s unique potential. All staff hold current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
